A paradigm shift is needed to prevent the collapse of the planet and to move towards more sustainable systems of production and consumption.
The food production and consumption system is among those that have the greatest impact on the environmental challenges that we are facing and the commitment of all actors is necessary and can no longer be postponed.
All the steps towards the paradigm shift are interconnected and interdependent: changes in food production, for instance, will not be sufficient if there is no change in the awareness of the public about the impact of their daily food choices. That is why in order to drastically change the food system we need the cooperation and engagement of all the actors: citizens, farmers, fishers, food producers, companies, retailers, LAs and decision makers interacting in a coordinated effort to move towards agroecologically based food systems. Everyone has a role to play.
It is the reason why this section of the site is dedicated to the dissemination of models, methodologies and possible actions that can be implemented on the territory to promote agroecologically based food systems. The section is open to all the actors who have the willingness to engage itself at different levels.
